Privacy policy

Cellidoscope collects almost nothing. Here is exactly what happens to your information. Effective 22 October 2026.

The short version

There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics tools and no tracking in the app.
Your progress, XP, streaks, quiz scores and onboarding answers stay on your device.
If you buy Cellidoscope Pro, Apple handles the payment and RevenueCat confirms the purchase so the app can unlock Pro. Neither is used for advertising, and we never sell data.

Who we are

Cellidoscope is an interactive biology learning app for iPhone and iPad, made by Burak Gökyüz, an independent developer ("we", "us").

Information stored on your device

Cellidoscope saves your progress (topics explored, lessons read, quiz scores), your XP and streak, and the answers you gave during onboarding (study level, interests and daily goal) on your device so they are there next time. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it, and you can erase it at any time from the Me tab with Reset progress.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we never see your name, Apple Account or payment details.

To check which purchases you have and to unlock Cellidoscope Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription service. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created by the app (not linked to your name, email or Apple Account), your purchase history for Cellidoscope, and basic technical information such as device model, system version, app version, country and IP address. It is used only to provide and restore your purchases and to give us aggregated sales reports. Learn more in RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Children

Cellidoscope is made for students, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone: there are no accounts, no ads, no social features, no chat and no analytics tools in the app. A parent or guardian can delete everything Cellidoscope stores by deleting the app.

This website

cellidoscope.pages.dev is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it downloads them; see Google's privacy policy. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For purchase data held by RevenueCat or Apple, contact us and we will help you with a request.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and its effective date.
